Welcome to Yinghua Academy! We appreciate your interest in our school.

Yinghua Academy is truly a remarkable school. Our school has four core principles which play an important role in daily life at Yinghua Academy; Safety, Speak Chinese, Rigorous Academics and Happiness. These principles have a strong influence on the school's environment and are discussed daily in our morning meeting as well as throughout the school day.

Our program consists of immersion in mandarin Chinese, rigorous academic content in all subjects and a nurturing and supportive school environment. Our students are happy, engaged, learning a lot in all academic areas, and learning how to read, write, and speak Mandarin Chinese. We provide a strong academic program, based on the Core Knowledge Sequence, so our students are learning about history, social studies, science, and fine arts. We also use Singapore Math, which is a great curriculum for helping students to understand math. We provide physical education class in Chinese several times a week as well as a number of arts-enrichment programs through our partnerships with arts organizations throughout the Twin Cities.

We start each day with a morning meeting. All students participate in the morning meeting, which includes exercises, singing, and school-wide character education discussions. This is an excellent way to help the students make the transition to the school day and settle down for a challenging day of school.
