Uniform Policy

Yinghua Academy students are expected to be in uniform on a daily basis (except on designated days).  If a child comes to school out of uniform, we will call and request the parent bring the uniform to school.  It is the responsibility of the parents to ensure that the student adhere to this policy.

The uniform includes a light blue top and black bottoms (pants, skirts, etc.).  Black, white or light blue cardigans, sweaters, sweatshirts, fleece vests and jackets may also be worn to keep children more comfortable throughout the day.  Colors other than black, white or light blue, and logos other than the Yinghua Academy logo are not acceptable, and are in violation of school policy.

Note: Logos other than the Yinghua Academy logo are not acceptable on any clothing including socks.  Shorts and skirts must be no more than the width of the child's hand above the knee.  Clothing must fit: no excessive baggy clothing and no extremely tight clothing.

Shoes in school are required by law to prevent injury.  Yinghua Academy recommends using school shoes.  These shoes stay at school and are clean, comfortable and easy for the children to put on.  They are not outside shoes.  The shoes or boots that the children wear to school are not appropriate for physical education; students should also have a pair of tennis shoes for physical education at the school.  Please label all shoes with your child’s name.  All school shoes should be safe for walking, climbing stairs and basic movement.  All outdoor and physical education shoes should be safe for running and climbing and should not fall off during strenuous activity (sandals, flip-flops, and clogs are not advised for outdoor shoes).

Please help your child to be dressed according to the weather conditions.  Outdoor time is part of the daily routine and will take place unless it is dangerously stormy or the temperature is well below zero.  All outdoor wear needs to be labeled on the inside of the item.
