Parents Considering Applying for the 2008-2009 School Year

Our Open Enrollment Period for the 2008-2009 school year will be from January 7, 2008, through February 11, 2008.  In early January 2008 we will post the application form on our website.  Applications may be dropped off at the school or sent to the school via regular mail.  Applications will not be accepted by e-mail.

We will not accept applications before January 7, 2008; and the Open Enrollment Period will close at 5:00 PM on February 11.  If we have more applications than we can accommodate in any grade, we will hold a lottery during a public meeting at the school on February 13 for those grades.  Based on the lottery, some students will be offered the opportunity to enroll.  The other applicants will be put on a waiting list.

After the close of the Open Enrollment Period we will continue to accept applications for all grades.  If there is not space available in any grade, the prospective student will be put on a waiting list.

The only preference that we are allowed to give in admitting students is for children students who are siblings of current Yinghua Academy students.  In order for the prospective student to get sibling preference, the parent MUST submit an application for that child before 5:00 PM on February 11.  Sibling preference is not available for the 2008-2009 school year after 5:00 PM on February 11.

Yinghua Academy is a tuition-free public school.  Students will be accepted without regard to religion, ethnicity, race, intellectual or athletic abilities.

Yinghua Academy has a Uniform Policy.  Yinghua Academy students are expected to be in uniform on a daily basis.  The uniform includes a light blue top and black bottom (pants, skirts, shorts, etc.).  Shirts bearing the Yinghua logo are preferred.  Shirts with logos can be purchased at Dennis Uniforms.  Their web address is http://www.dennisuniform.com/
