Parents Considering Applying for the 2010-2011 School Year

Our Open Enrollment Period for the 2010-2011 school year will be from January 4, 2010, through February 9, 2010.  The application will be posted on this page on January 4, 2010 and can also be picked up in the school office or by calling the school.  Applications may be dropped off at the school or sent to the school via regular mail.  Applications will not be accepted by e-mail.

We will not accept applications before January 4, 2010; and the Open Enrollment Period will close at 5:00 PM on February 9.  If we have more applications than we can accommodate in any grade, we will hold a lottery during a public meeting at the school on February 11th at 6:30p.m. for those grades.  Based on the lottery, some students will be offered the opportunity to enroll.  The other applicants will be put on a waiting list.

After the close of the Open Enrollment Period we will continue to accept applications for all grades.  If there is not space available in any grade, the prospective student will be put on a waiting list.

The only preference that we are allowed to give in admitting students is for children students who are siblings of current Yinghua Academy students.  In order for the prospective student to get sibling preference, the parent MUST submit an application for that child before 5:00 PM on February 9.  Sibling preference is not available for the 2010-2011 school year after 5:00 PM on February 9.

Yinghua Academy is a tuition-free public school.  Students will be accepted without regard to religion, ethnicity, race, intellectual or athletic abilities.
