Dear Yinghua Parents, Thank you for making the decision to be a part of the Yinghua Community. As Yinghua Volunteer Coordinators, we are excited to share some important information and several exciting opportunities. Background Check: School policy requires each volunteer to have a background check. Each individual must have a completed background check before he/she can volunteer at the school. State Law does not allow public schools to pay for these background checks. Therefore, each individual will need to pay $15 for the background check. These forms are available at Yinghua. Processing of these forms takes approximately three days. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding! Volunteer Hours: This year we are tracking volunteer hours. When you arrive to volunteer, please sign-in at the front desk. This information helps Yinghua when reporting to the state and when applying for grants. After an individual has volunteered forty hours, a book is donated to the library in his/her honor. Volunteering not only helps build community but also helps resource Yinghua’s library! Earn $$$ for the School: We are collecting General Mills box tops, Kemps milk caps, Land-o-Lakes milk caps and Campbell’s Soup labels (and other Campbell’s products). The drop off station is located in the Front Office area. Money collected from the participating companies will be used to purchase new books for the library. Recess and lunch helpers are still needed Monday - Friday from 11:30am – 1:30pm. If you are interested, please contact us at volunteer@yinghuaacademy.org.
