Grandparents’ Day is October 22!

Posted on by Claire Little

In combination with the Chinese Double Ninth festival and the spirit of respecting grandparents, Yinghua will celebrate Grandparents’ Day on October 22. On Tuesday, October 22, we invite all grandparents and elders to join us at Yinghua to spend time with their grandchildren as we focus on our theme of “Celebrating Travels and Adventures”. The Grandparents’ Day schedule can be found online (link opens in a new tab).

If any grandparents or elders are planning to attend Grandparents’ Day, we ask that they complete the registration form to inform us by October 18 (link opens in a new tab). We also invite elders to briefly share with the class about their experiences on the theme of travel and adventure. If elders are interested they can note that on the registration form. If you know of a grandparent or elder who would like to share briefly with their student’s class on the theme of travel and adventure, but cannot attend, they are welcome to share a video. We ask that videos be less than three minutes and share a story of where they visited or something they learned from traveling. Videos can be sent to Claire Little by October 18, claire.little@yinghuaacademy.org, with the name(s) of the student(s) the grandparent or elder knows.
