Counseling & Mental Health Resources

School Counseling

Yinghua employs two school counselors to support students’ mental and emotional health. Mr. Lor works with middle school students individually and in small groups to help students develop goals and strategies for success. Lee Laoshi is our lower school counselor and supports students individually and in groups as well. Middle school students may self-refer to meet with Mr. Lor, but lower school students are referred by teachers as those students do not have access to technology during the school day.

Resources For Families, Teachers & Staff

Yinghua Academy is proud to be partnering with Cook Center for Human Connection and their Mental Health Resource Center, ParentGuidance.org.

Cook Center and Parent Guidance provides important free resources for students, families, and staff who are navigating mental health and wellbeing issues. Parent Guidance has an on-demand library of courses led by mental health experts to help guide adults through a variety of topics when helping children. As part of this partnership, families and staff will have the ability to schedule coaching sessions with mental health professionals and ask therapists questions to get tailored assistance.

Through this partnership, Yinghua hopes to foster closer relationships between students, their families, and their community.
