Sister Schools

To further act in alignment with our philosophy of bilingual education and global citizenship, Yinghua Academy forged a sister-school relationship in 2009 with the Primary School Attached to Inner Mongolia Agriculture University and the Number 8 Middle School in Hohhot, Inner Mongolia. This relationship was possible with the support of the Foreign Language Assistance Program of the U.S. Department of Education and the Confucius Institute of Minnesota.

Creating and sustaining relationships with schools abroad enhances the cultural experiences for all schools’ students and teachers. In particular, middle school students and teachers at Yinghua Academy and at Middle School Number 8 in Hohhot experience authentic social and academic correspondence through use of technology such as email and Skype and promote communication between students on a weekly basis.

Since 2012, Yinghua middle school students have had the opportunity to participate in a summer capstone trip to Mainland China (Beijing and Hohhot) and Taiwan to experience a home stay, academic presentations and interaction with middle school peers across the globe.
